Chopin. Desire for Love
Chopin: Desire for Love is a 2002 Polish biographical drama directed by Jerzy Antczak, chronicling the romance between Frédéric Chopin and the French writer George Sand, as well as the complex relationships between the couple and her children. The film premiered on March 1, 2002, in Warsaw. Jerzy Antczak simultaneously filmed two versions of the movie: a Polish version running 123 minutes, and an English version titled Chopin: Desire for Love, which runs 118 minutes (containing a few fewer scenes than the Polish version) and was screened in over 40 countries worldwide. The film was released on DVD in numerous territories, including the United States, Canada, Russia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, Slovenia, Greece, and Ukraine.
